Frequently asked questions
What size should product photos be for Instagram and WhatsApp listings?
Use 1080x1080 px. This 1:1 square is the standard for Instagram feed posts, catalogue grids and WhatsApp Business product cards, so the same image works across both platforms without awkward cropping.
Why does the background need to be pure white?
Marketplace tools on Instagram and WhatsApp expect a pure white backdrop so the product stands out clearly. White also keeps the focus on the item, helps the auto-crop detect edges correctly, and gives your shop grid a tidy, uniform look that shoppers in India tend to trust.
What is the maximum file size I can upload?
Keep the image at or below 8000 KB. Going over this limit will stop the upload on both apps, so compress the JPG after editing rather than reducing the pixel dimensions, since the 1080x1080 size is fixed.
How is my photo processed and is it safe to use?
Everything happens inside your web browser. The picture is never sent to a server, there is no account to create, and no fee to pay. You simply upload the file from your phone or laptop, edit it, and download the finished version back to your own device.
