Frequently asked questions
What is the exact photo size for the RRB and NTPC application form?
The photograph has to be 130 pixels wide by 160 pixels tall, saved as a JPEG, and kept between 15 KB and 40 KB in file size, against a plain white background.
Why does the RRB and NTPC form ask for such a small photo?
Indian railway recruitment boards need a uniform thumbnail that fits their printed hall ticket and online portal. A fixed 130x160 px image at 15-40 KB keeps every candidate's picture identical in size, aspect ratio, and clarity.
Can I click the photo myself at home and still meet the rules?
Yes, provided you use a plain white wall as the background, face the camera directly, and then resize the resulting picture to 130x160 px in JPEG format within the 15-40 KB range before uploading.
Will my picture be uploaded to any server when I use this tool?
No. The resizing and compression happen entirely inside your browser on your own device, so the photograph is never sent to or stored on any remote server, and no sign-up is required.
