Frequently asked questions
What is the exact photo size and file size required for the MPSC and UPPSC application form?
The photo must be exactly 200x230 pixels and between 10 KB and 50 KB in file size, saved as a JPEG on a plain white background. Any deviation from these stated values may cause your application to be rejected at the upload stage, so it is worth verifying the final file before submission.
Which image format should I use for the MPSC and UPPSC photograph?
Use JPEG only, as the form typically accepts photographs saved in that format. PNG, BMP, or WebP files, even if they look identical, may not upload correctly or may fail the validation step on the official portal.
Does the background colour really matter for the MPSC and UPPSC photo?
Yes, a clean white background is required. Coloured, patterned, or uneven backdrops, including shadows or a wall behind you, are a common reason for rejection, since the photograph is later cropped and printed on the admit card.
Is the photo resizer free to use and does it upload my image anywhere?
The resizer runs entirely inside your web browser, which means your photograph is never sent to a server and stays on your device. There is no charge, no watermark, and no sign-up, so you can adjust the file until it fits the 200x230 px and 10-50 KB limits without any privacy concerns.
